Catalog of artist Lídia Masllorens

Lydia Masllorens’s work stands out for its return to the portrait as a feature element. In this catalog, images are placed on the far side of page without margin, giving strength to faces and eyes – with the intent of reflecting the large size of her paintings. Her technique looks for an imperfect atmosphere using black ink and bleach. Being shown in different ways, it is this concept of “black over black” which gives a conceptual continuity to the catalog, leaving colors created randomly from bleach stand out over black.
